Anonymous Comments To Be made Illegal

If the bill becomes law, the website operator would have to pay if someone was allowed to post anonymously on their site. The fine would be five-hundred dollars for a first offense and one-thousand dollars for each offense after that.

Whoa! this is a nightmare for webmasters. The accuracy is still in question.

The Blind Side (2009)

Watch this over the weekend. It's a fun movie quite interesting. Sandra bullock won an oscar for her perfomance. It's a very involving story about this kid who just had every possible thing operating against him, who had to start from scratch in the sense of "practically no identifying documents, school records, or anything that would demonstrate on paper that he existed," whose life changed completely because a whole pack of people, particularly his adoptive mom, voluntarily assumed responsibility for him.

WOW! Tobey can really act!

It's about a young marine who was married and have two small daughters. One day he was deployed to Afaganistan and later was declared dead even though he was ambushed along with his men after the aircraft he was on was shot down. He went through a life changing experience while captured. His world will never be the same again but how will he deal with his wife and kids, his brother that looked after his wife and kids. What kind of life will he have or how can he live with himself after all his been through.

I recommend it to anyone thinking of joining the military.

Corey Haim dies at age 38

So many young people dying in Hollywood. Its no secret that the misuse of prescription drugs in Hollywood is almost as common as the misuse of Botox. According to news, Corey did not die from drug misuse. But some people think it might have been drugs.

More Details On Corey Haims Tragic Death

Not even three months after fellow former teen star Brittany Murphy died from the pneumonia and an over-the-counter drug overdose, Corey Haim, who rose to fame during the 1980s in such movies as The Lost Boys and Lucas, died on March 10. The NY Daily News is reporting he most likely died from an apparent accidental drug overdose.

The 38-year-old star was running about a 100 degree fever the day before, and had a doctor make a house call to his mothers Burbank apartment. The doctor said he would be fine, Haims agent, Mark Heaslip, told the newspaper. But Heaslip also said his client complained later that evening that he was having trouble breathing, and his mother, Judy Haim, saw him walking around shortly before he collapsed in the bathroom at about 1 a.m.

Judy called 911, and Haim was transported to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. While an overdose was initially suspected, the official cause is still pending, and wont be determined until a toxicology exam is performed.

Haim recently was thrust back into fame when he appeared on the 2007 A&E reality show The Two Coreys, which focused on his friendship with fellow eighties teen idol Corey Feldman, who he worked with on The Lost Boys. The show only lasted for two seasons and was cancelled the next year, as Feldman wanted Haim to seek help for his drug problem.

Speaking of his friends death, Feldman wrote on his blog that it is a tragic loss. Feldman referred to Haim as my brother, family and best friend.

I bought it for 37.00 at vitamin world. I was looking for creatine and end up buying this one. It's a post workout drink that should be taken 30 - 60 minutes prior to working out. I love the flavor and taste. It does give you the boost needed for your workouts. You should take one scoop on your first try. I took two scoops the first time and I was so amped up, I swear I could lift anything. It reminds me of the energy boost similar to ma huang, a herb that was ban a few years ago but without the worries of cardiac arrest.

It's a citrusy drink, so if you have digestive problems you should not take it. Or if your stomach is prone to acid reflux, sensitive intestines (IBS) that sort of stuff then you should avoid this product by all means.

Apple sues HTC for patent infringement

Smartphone maker HTC has joined Nokia on the patent infringement express trainat least, thats what the folks at Apple are arguing.

On Tuesday, Apple filed a patent infringement lawsuit against HTC with the International Trade Commission and the U.S. District Court of Delaware. Apple is accusing the company of infringement on 20 of its iPhone-related patents. The patents are related to the iPhone user interface and the smartphone's underlying architecture and hardware, Apple said in a statement.

Apple's statement did not specify which HTC products infringe on Apple patents.

HTC has not yet seen the lawsuit filing, so cannot comment specifically about it, said Keith Nowak, media relations manager at the company's North American headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. However, the company has been making phones for years and holds many of its own patents, he noted, adding "we value patent rights and their enforcement."

This suit brings to mind Apples recent patent troubles with Nokiaalthough in this case HTCs not the one firing the first shot.Steve Jobs himself is quoted in Apple's statement: We can sit by and watch competitors steal our patented inventions, or we can do something about it. We decided to do something about it. We think competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours.

This mirrors a quote given by Apples General Counsel, Bruce Sewell, after Apple countersued Nokia in December: Other companies must compete with us by inventing their own technologies, not just by stealing ours.

This isnt the first time that Apple has made noises about defending its intellectual property. In January 2009, shortly after the release of the Palm Pre, Apples COO Tim Cook said on the companys quarterly financial results call that Apple didnt mind competition, as long as they dont rip off our . Apple, of course, never sued Palm, though that didnt really help Palm much.

Governor wants to change name of Guam to Guahan

The Governor of Guam, Felix Camacho, has issued an executive order to change the official name of Guam to Guahan. His executive order applies to all GovGuam agencies and encourages the local businesses and the community at large to adopt the name change as well. In addition the executive order requests lawmakers pass a law re-designating Guam as Guahan.

The name Guahan was the name predominantly used for three centuries prior to the 1898 Treaty of Paris. The Governor believes that changing the name back to Guahan will help to preserve the Chamorro language and culture.

Why so many lazy minimum wage Micronesians depend on the gov. for assistant? To make matters worst they sit on their lazy butts all day polluting and making trouble. I hope one day the gov put these people back were they belong. I'm not being mean guys it's just that they are not doing any good to our island and economy.

Please don't use photobucket to link/hotlink photos! most of the post with these link now appears blank on the forum or photo has been deleted, bandwidth has exceeded etc. Not a very good photo hosting site to depend on. You can however upload the photos directly to the forum.

Military build up

I wonder what all these military build up thing is going to do to boost our economy. Nobody hardly shops on island except for food its hella expensive. The government should blame these greedy businesses for jacking their prices on everything from clothing to electronics. I heard the other day, a bunch of statesiders, they were totally shocked and giggling on how much a bag of chips cost at the grocery store. Giggling not because it was cheap but it was so expensive. I would too if I was from another country that sells chips for a dollar a bag not 4-5 dollar a bag. But what can we do, Guam is in the middle of nowhere lol!! Everything has to be ship here! of course that's gonna cost you. If the businesses were smart they would buy it from a wholesaler but again there's greed in every business person's head. Too bad there is no such thing as a guideline on how much you should charge a customer.

My point is, majority of people today have credit cards and would rather shop on-line. If the prices were reasonable enough do you think they would spend their money on island instead? I betcha. I imagine if tourist did not exist on Island, Guam will be in deep trouble.

Hello everyone, Way to quit smoking is a big dream for all the addicted people.

We call smoking as an addiction when the person has an uncontrollable dependence on Cigarettes , in such a way that, stop smoking causes sever physical, mental and emotional reactions. Every people are aware about the harmful effects of smoking of smoking, buy few people realize how risky and addictive it is.

There are chances that, one in three smokers will eventually die because of the smoking habit. Most of the smokers want to stop, and even dont want to try it out in their life time. Those who eventually stop smoking would have tried at least 3-4 times, before they become successful. Studies have proved that only 2.55 of smokers have successfully quit each year.

Being addicted does not mean that, they cannot stop, the only thing is that it will be difficult. Anyone can succeed, if he or she goes in the right way.

Flash Only Guam Web Sites

That's what I'm noticing lately on some of Guam's business websites, they are all slowly moving into a flash only website. I wonder what design firm would suggest this move. Too bad they don't know any better. But as a web designer, I don't recommend it.

For the last few years there has been an ongoing debate on whether it really makes sense to develop websites entirely in Flash.

For movement and overall "cool" factor, flash really can't be beat. It allows you create very visually captivating animations and interactive applications that otherwise would not be possible inside a user's browser. Some of them are annoying if designed poorly especially the ones with sound effects.

In a nutshell, flash can generate great components of a site, but was never designed to be the framework to build your entire site with.

Problem with flash only websites:

There is no way to send people directly to a specific page. That means you won't be able to send an e-mail link to your client/friends to a page your talking about or want him/her to look at.
When your entire site is in Flash the search engine often can no longer contextualize what is important and what is not, and in that sense you end up loosing ranking with the search engine
As the generation that grew up with computers continues to get older, and as more and more people in general are online, the number of people with disabilities using the Internet is sky rocketing. Fortunately properly designed websites allow users to take advantage of special settings in their web browser to display information in such a way that it is easier for them to read and use - they completely control how they want sites to appear. Flash however doesn't recognize these settings
Most phones don't support flash like the iphone
Other popular devices such as the itouch and the upcoming ipad does not support flash.
The whole wold is slowing moving to HTML5

I hope that the companies on Guam are aware of the disadvantages. It's a bad idea to build your business website into flash only site unless your using it for personal use only.
